Travel Vaccinations & Advice

Our Travel Clinics

We offer travel vaccine clinics, which are bookable in advance. Please be aware that these clinics do get booked very quickly so we would advise you to contact us well in advance of your trip to book an appointment. In the event that our clinics are fully booked, and we are unable to offer you an appointment within 8 weeks of your departure date we will direct you to one of the local private travel services (pharmacies).

If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to make an appointment with a Practice Nurse to discuss your travel arrangements. This will include planning and discussion about which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required. We have dedicated travel clinic appointments with our nursing team.

It is very important that you tell the reception team member that you need an appointment regarding travel, as otherwise the booking may not be appropriate, and you will need to book again.

It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible – at least 8 weeks before you travel – as a second appointment may be required with the practice nurse. Some vaccines have to be ordered as they are not stored in the surgery. Travel consultations are provided as an NHS service, but you may need to pay a prescription charge for some vaccines.
